Have you heard about koa wood? Koa wood is endemic to Hawaii and is not found anywhere else in the world. Koa is harvested from dead or decaying trees because of the scarcity of mature trees. Koa found at high elevations (3,000 – 6,000 ft.) is generally reddish to dark brown and has more character. On lower elevations koa is lighter and plainer. Our product this week is made with koa wood. This is our Slimline gold koa twist pen, one of our first creations. This has been a very popular item in our store.
